It's a new day

The new day tugged at Bob's consciousness,
its time to wake up it whispered. His eyes fluttered
unable to open. Then the song of a bird wrapped itself
around his unwilling heart. Bob please get up, its a new day, welcome.
Invigorated, he quickly dresses to go meet his chirping friends and to thank them for their song.
As Bob sets on a rock, lost. Lost in thoughts of his little friends and the nature around him, it occurs to him, everyone must be welcomed to their new day. As the leaves flutter in the breeze, Bob sings hello. Welcome Welcome my friend, its your new day.

Bob's Buds

BOB'S BUDS (new family)
A Poem by Jaylene Wood
Wind rushing past my ears
whispering an unspoken wish,
my arm resting on my good friend, Rocky.
Parts of the dandelion wish tumbling gently down,
down upon my friend,
my friend laying in the grass.
The wind whispers to my friend and he smiles.
Time stands still.
